Carina advises shipowners, cargo interests, service providers and insurers on the full range of shipping, transport and marine insurance matters, supporting national and international clients in both contentious and non-contentious matters. She has experience advising on maritime casualties, assisting with casualty investigations, claims handling and related H&M and P&I issues, as well as dry shipping matters. She assists with maritime litigation and arbitration, as well as the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts across the shipping and transport sectors. With a strong focus on practical, industry-aware solutions, Carina combines legal expertise with an understanding of the operational and commercial realities of the maritime sector.

- Assisting a shipowner in litigation proceedings concerning a damage claim arising from inadequate maintenance of a yacht engine.
- Advising a shipowner on asserting a claim for hull damage caused by the charterer’s negligent operation.
- Advising on the applicability of European sanctions to a vessel and its cargo.
- Advising on maritime casualties, including casualty investigations, coordination with insurers and handling H&M and P&I claims.
- Assisting clients in cross-border disputes arising from collisions, allisions, and groundings, including liaising with authorities and insurers.
- Supporting clients with transport law matters, including disputes relating to inland shipping, logistics, and multimodal carriage contracts.
- Advising on dry shipping matters, including disputes arising from charterparty performance and breaches of contractual obligations.
- Supporting shipowners and operators in drafting and negotiating charterparty agreements, management contracts, and service contracts.
